Working Student / Intern: Robotics and Autonomous Systems / Robotics and AI (m/w/d)

Robotics and artificial intelligence engineering is an interdisciplinary engineering field that combines principles of mechanical, software and AI engineering. Computer-based automatic control and artificial intelligence algorithms enhance the robotic system to be more intelligent and be able to complete complicated tasks.

As a young and dynamic eHealth company, FUSE-AI pursues the goal of improving medical care with innovative AI-based software products. In addition to our existing medical image processing solution, we want to enable robotic automation solutions for medical workflows for the important players of the healthcare market.

At FUSE-AI, we work together in an interdisciplinary team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, Q&R experts and scientists for the use of AI solutions in medicine.

What sets us apart

  • Work culture: We are a team with flat hierarchies and a friendly atmosphere.

  • Work-life balance: We support your professional development and enable you to take part in specialist events, for example.

  • Top location: We offer you state-of-the-art technology in a bright office atmosphere between the town hall and the Michel with subway, S-Bahn and bus right outside the door.

Your field of activity

Robotics-Engineers at FUSE-AI develop, produce and improve autonomous robotic systems including computer vision and reinforcement learning models. In a multidisciplinary team, the Robotics-Engineers focus on the creation of software to enable the training and deployment of ML algorithms for object detection and autonomous robot movements. This includes simulation and also communication with real-world robots. They are required to have knowledge of software development, computer vision, reinforcement learning and robotic hardware.

  • Develop ML-based automation techniques with real-world robots in a collaborative research projec together with the Univerisät der Bundeswehr (Helmut-Schmid-Universität/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg)

  • Planning, design and implementation of machine learning systems as well as the integration into a software product

  • Support in the selection and integration of suitable tools, frameworks and technologies to improve the ML development within the research project and deployment processes according to regulatory compliance and requirements

  • Independent study of state of the art knowledge
